Tudor Style Home

Summit, NJ

Winner of the Silver Medal, AIA/New Jersey 2012 Annual Design Competition. The clients have long admired Tudor homes, whose architectural style flourished in the 19th and early part of the 20th century in Summit, NJ. Unlike many traditionally-designed Tudors, this home features a modern, more open floor plan and spacious rooms with high ceilings. Featuring classic embellishments, including hand carved limestone surrounds, timber detailing and leaded windows, this home is a perfect blend of a modern interpretation with historic style.

The interior is untraditionally designed to be large and open enough for the owner’s children, dogs, extended family, and for entertaining guests.  In other words, it is an impeccable space ready for the rough and tumble of everyday life.
